About the event
For Families
Guiding Stars' Book Drives provide families with free children's books and literacy resources designed to make reading at home more engaging and meaningful. Families will be able to choose books for their children to enjoy while also receiving additional materials to support reading comprehension and discussion.
Each book package includes:
Children's book selected for young readers across different age groups and interests
Reading discussion bookmarks with simple questions and prompts that parents can use while reading with their children to encourage conversation, prediction, and deeper understanding
Age-appropriate literacy worksheets designed to help students practice important skills such as vocabulary, comprehension, summarizing, and making connections to the text
